World of Warcraft Active Skills

Active skills are those skills which must be activated by the player in order to work.

Rage: The rage level indicated by the ragebar will give you, at some point, access to special abilities.

Basic Strike
Combat Masteries Requires One-Handed Axes, Two-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Two-Handed Swords, Daggers 15 sec cooldown Next melee attack: Weapon damage +35-39. Warrior Active Target

Bear Form
Morphs the druid into a bear, which deals much more damage than the druid in normal form. The druid cannot use his normal spells while in bear form, but he can use a special set of skills that activate when he enters bear form. Druid Active

Beast Training
Lets the Hunter train his pet with various abilities that he has learned. Hunter Active Self

Bladestorm
A powerful technique in which the warrior spins and damages nearby units. Warrior Active Area of Effect

Bull Rush
Greatly increase running speed for an amount of time. Warrior Buff Self

Cat Form
Morphs the character into a cat, which attacks much faster than the druid in normal form. Only cat skills - which are activate while the character is in cat form - can be used. Druid Active

Charge
Charge an enemy, and generate 15 rage. Warrior Active Enemy

Cheap Shot
Increases weapon damage and stuns the target for an amount of time when attacking from stealth. Rogue Active Enemy

Condor Form
Morphs the character into a condor, which moves much faster. The character cannot use their other spells while in condor form, but they can use a set of condor skills that activate at that time. Druid Active

Critical Shot
All shots fired within the next X secondes will always hit for critical damage. Hunter Active Enemy

Crippling Strike
Another skill that enhances the attack of the Warrior's weapon of choice. Warrior Active Self

Disarm

Divine Shield
Drawing on their faith in the Holy Light, Paladins are able to surround themselves with an impregnable shield that renders them impervious to physical attacks and magical spells. Paladin Active Self

Dizzy Shot
A well placed shot stuns the target for an amount of time. Hunter Active Target

Ensnare
Renders a target unable to move for an amount of time. The effect will be removed if the target is damaged. ? Active Enemy

Eviscerate
This is a Finishing Move for the rogue. This strike causes very high damage to the target. Rogue Active

Feint
Using both Trips and Feints, the rogue can lower his hatred the monster has for him/her. This in turn allows the rogue to avoid taking damage by letting another character, such as a warrior, gain hate and take the hits. Rogue Active Target

Fire
Increase ranged damage. Hunter Active Self

Fist of Justice
An ability that knocks the opponent to the ground and stuns them. Paladin Active Enemy

Flurry
Quickly damages all enemies within range. Hunter, Warrior Active Area of Effect

Follow Through
When activated, causes the character's next attack to inflict more damage. Warrior Active Enemy

Garrote
Garrote the enemy, stunning them and causing X damage per combo point every Y seconde. Rogue Active Enemy

Gouge
This strike incapacitates the target by stunning them for 4 seconds. Rogue Active Enemy

Head Shot
A ranged attack targeting the head that does significant damage. Hunter Active Target

Hibernation
The specifics of this ability have not yet been determined. ? Active Self (?)

Hunter's Strike
Increases ranged damage. Hunter Active Target

Impale
When activated, causes the enemy to bleed and lose health. Warrior Active Enemy

Impaling Bolt
The specifics of this skill are currently unknown. ? Active Enemy

Improved Shot
Increases ranged damage and accuracy. Hunter Active Target

Kick
A quick kick that injures a single foe for X damage. ? Active Enemy

Kidney Shot
Finishing move that stuns for an amount of time. ? Active Enemy

Maul
Causes bonus damage and a chance to stun the opponent (only available in bear form). Druid Active Self

Mend Pet
Heals your pet over time while the Hunter focuses. Hunter Healing Target

Physical Taunt
With a cost of Rage, you can taunt your opponent, drawing it to you. A good skill for tanking warriors in parties. Warrior Active Target

Pickpocket
Pick the target's pocket. Only useable from stealth. Rogue Active Target

Poison Arrow
Add poison to an arrow. ? Active Enemy

Poisons
The rogue is able to both craft poisons and use them in combat. Currently however, Blizzard has not released how this system works nor any of the poisons available for use. Rogue Active Enemy

Poison Sting
The specifics of this skill are currently unknown. ? Active Enemy

Power Strike
Enables the Warrior to perform a critical strike. The effect duration increases as the skill's level does. Warrior Active Enemy

Quickshot
Instantly fires your weapon, causing X additional damage. Warrior Active Enemy

Rake
Wounds the target causing them to bleed for X damage every Y sec for Z seconde(s). Druid Active Enemy

Running Shot
Attack while running. Hunter Active Enemy

Rupture
Rupture the opponent, causing X damage per combo point every 5 sec. Lasts for Y seconde(s) per combo point. Hunter Active Enemy

Sap / Knockout
Sap / Knockout is an ability that allows the rogue to incapicitate an oppoenet for an extended period of time. In order to execute this move, the rogue must be stealthed and behind the target. Once hit, the target will be out of combat for x amount of time(x is currently unknown). If the target is hit before this, the Sap/knockout effect will be removed. Rogue Active Enemy

Savage Blow
The specifics of this skill are currently unknown. Warrior Active Enemy

Searing Arrow
The specifics of this skill are currently unknown. ? Active Enemy

Shield Bash
This skill allows the Warrior to strike enemies with a shield, stunning them for a short period of time. Warrior Active Enemy

Sight
Detects traps or hidden enemies. Priest Active Detection

Shoot Wand
The specifics of this skill are unknown. May allow the Mage to shoot a stored spell from the wand. Mage Active Enemy

Sinister Strike
A wicked strike that adds damage to your normal weapon damage. Rogue Active Enemy

Slice and Dice
Attacks an enemy twice in a row. Rogue Active Enemy

Slowing Strike
This attack allows the Warrior to strike the target to slow down his enemies attacks. Warrior Active Enemy

Sniper Shot
Fire a long range shot at the enemy, causing X additional damage. Hunter Active Target

Sniper Shot Fire
A very accurate and damaging ranged attack. Hunter Active Target

Soul Tap
Drains some of the caster's health to feed its pet. Can kill the caster if life is low. Warlock Active Pet

Sunder
Sunder the enemy's weapon for 3 minutes. The weapon will inflict -10 pts of damage each attack. Warrior Active Enemy

Suprise Attack
Attack from surprise, causing X bonus damage and stunning the target for an amount of time. Only useable from behind when hidden. Hunter Active Pet

Swift Strike
This skill is instant, has a 45 second cooldown, and allows the character to attack twice in the next round. Hunter, Rogue, Warrior Active Target

Swipe
Usable only in bear form, this ability grants additional damage. Druid Active Self

Throw
Allows the ability to throw weapons. This ability is similiar to a pulling ability. Hunter, Warrior Active Target

Trip
