What is the current status of World of Warcraft testing?
World of Warcraft is currently in alpha testing stage.
When will the beta testing begins?
Beta testing will begin in early February 2004.
How long will the beta test last?
The beta will probably last about 8 months.
Are hardcore Battle.net players going to be preferred or will everyone be judged strictly on their applications?
If previous Blizzard beta tests are any indication, testers will be selected randomly from the applicants who sent in an application and meet the requirements.
Will the beta be done in phases?
Yes.
Will there be an open beta?
Yes, there will be an open beta phase towards the middle or the end of the test.
Will I have to pay to play the beta?
No.
Will beta characters remain once testing is over?
No, all characters will be wiped before release.
Where is Blizzard beta testing World of Warcraft?
Initially it will be open to players in the U.S., Canada, and Korea, but in later phases more people will be able to get in to finally reach the worldwide phase.
Do I have to sign an NDA for the World of Warcraft beta?
Yes, you will be required to sign an NDA.
What is an NDA?
NDA stands for Non-Disclosure Agreement. It is a legally binding contract where you agree not to release certain information to other parties.
